COOPSKILLS is a strategic initiative aimed at developing new educational tools and methods that will enhance the collaborative skills (Co-operative Skills) of trainers and learners in the field of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Lifelong Learning.
The COOPSKILLS project aims to bridge the gap between the demands of the modern labor market and the skills provided through education.
Its main objectives are:
- Development of an Integrated Skills Framework: Identification and mapping of the essential collaborative skills required in today’s work environment.
- Innovative Educational Material: Design and pilot implementation of high-quality training material for trainers and learners.
- Promotion of Collaboration: Strengthening networking between educational institutions, local authorities (such as the Municipality of Thermi), and the labor market.
Expected Results
Upon completion of the project, the following key deliverables are expected to be produced:
- Collaborative Skills Mapping Guide for the 21st Century.
- Digital Educational Program (Curriculum) for the development of these skills, available to all.
- Trainer’s Toolkit with practical exercises and methodologies.
- E-learning Platform providing access to all materials.
Participation of the Municipality of Thermi
The Directorate of Education, Youth, Lifelong Learning and Employment is responsible for:
- The pilot implementation and evaluation of the educational material at the local level.
- The dissemination of the results to the local community and to education and employment stakeholders.
- Networking with academic and European partners (including two Universities) for the exchange of best practices.
